Family Photography
I feel very at home photographing families of all ages. Each stage of life brings its own rhythm and challenges — and its own beauty. Young children, who you might expect to be difficult because they won’t sit still, often make for some of the most authentic images. Their movement and lack of inhibition bring a natural honesty to the photos. Older children and teenagers can sometimes take a little longer to warm up, but once they relax, it’s wonderful to see their personalities come through.
For those who feel a bit camera shy (and let’s be honest, that’s most of us), there’s no need to worry. I can relate — I’m a little shy myself — so we always take the time needed to ease into the session and keep things relaxed.
Having grown up in the country, I have a real fondness for photographing families on their own properties. It often brings back memories of my childhood in rural New South Wales and adds a very natural, personal feel to the images.
A family session runs for around one hour and includes a minimum of 40 high-resolution images. Pricing starts at $400 for a family of three (two parents and one child), with an additional $50 per extra family member. I’m also happy to offer a discount for single-parent families, and a 10% discount is available if you’re comfortable for me to use a selection of images for marketing purposes.
Please note that travel costs may apply. Feel free to get in touch for more information or to make a booking. In the meantime, you can view some examples of my family photography work below.
“We were absolutely blown away by the photos Clementine took — they were totally us in so many ways. She worked magic, especially seeing as she was dealing with an uncooperative teen, a cranky baby and extremely camera shy parents. She has an uncanny ability to capture those special, tiny moments in time and was really approachable and easy going and made us feel really comfortable.”
